ITALY - Looking for Myths
Frederick II Hohenstaufen: Governance as Culture
Our purpose is to travel through a magnifying glass and look for a new experience and taste. Ten places in the south of Italy are filling the gap left by Goethe, who, shipping from Naples to Palermo, cut out of his Journey one of the most ancient parts of Italy, rich in history, heritage and culture. But this heritage is an incredible container of stories, myths, and traditions. In front of myths, the starting point of the discovery, young and old are in the same mood. Enriched with texts, pictures, animations and audiovisuals, our myths are deeply imaginary, as myths are. The red thread on our map leads to ten places, the pearls in the necklace, connected in one journey, using fantasy as fuel.

Mazaricos is a territory with markedly contrasting and stunning landscapes. The viewpoints on the sides of Mount Aro, provide for excellent opportunities to view mountains and valleys, wild spaces, farmland and thick forests, open grasslands and isolated villages, winding watercourses and roads. From this balcony, which is open to the four winds, we can see the Fervenza dam to the northeast which interrupts the slow flow of the River Xallas, thus creating a large lake perfect for sports and leisure. On its shores lies the service company NATURMAZ, which one of the largest leisure and adventure centres in Galicia. To the northwest, there is the steep and sinuous Mount Corzón and the valleys formed by the rivers of Mazaricos in the foreground. In the distance, the valley formed by the River Beba faces the profile of Mount Ruña.

TURKEY - CONNECTING CULTURES
A truly Eurasian Story
The world is a stage and every man is an actor. Our purpose is to travel through a magnifying glass and look for a new experience and taste. Ten places in the Eastern Black Sea today, will lead us to dive back into the footsteps of Jason and the Argonauts, Xenophon and the Myriads, Alexander the Great and Emperor Han Wudi in the discovery of the Silk Road, and Lucius Licinius Luculus and the discovery of cherries, Marco Polo and his golden passport, the Grand Comnenoi and the Trapezuntine Empire, Sultan Mehmet, Bayezid, Selim, Suleiman, Murad, Evliya Celebi and his Book of Travels, and the Autumn Tour of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk at the birth of the young Republic. The red thread on the map leads to ten heritage places in the Eastern Black Sea, the pearls in the necklace, connected in one journey, using fantasy as fuel. Each place becomes a story container and a carrier of narration, able to adjust to our life, to shape our bonds and common roots; the character of a community, the local identity. Connecting Cultures. A truly Eurasian Story will be the title of our collection of stories. The red thread is self-consistent with no beginning or end. It is not a road, but a shape: the shape of our journey. It doesn’t represent the world exactly as it is, but helps us to immerse in the historic times of the Hellenes and the Chinese, the Romans and the Byzantines, the Venetians and the Genoese, the Mongols and the Ottomans, to be carried away by the myths, the Antiquity, the Middle Ages, the Age of Discovery, the young Republic. The shape of our journey is not in use by ordinary geometry, but is sinuous as the path of memory.
